Limelight Musical Theatre was created with the vision of producing professional quality shows to appeal to a wider audience than the traditional amateur theatre company. Many theatre companies say this, of course, but most are too timid to actually try to change the way things get done. We want to change what people expect to see when they come to an amateur show!

We got bored of seeing audition notices for the same old shows circulating in the local area and wanted to do shows that nobody else is doing, and shows that capture the attention of younger audiences to get them engaging with local theatre. Basically we're willing to take a risk on a show we believe in and don't have a committee full of old hands telling us why we shouldn't try something new. And we don't have a pool of members to cast from - we want to draw in the best actors and creatives available and so auditions will always be open to all.
